Empowering Benidorm's Homeless
City Streets Community Project is an association founded in 2024 in Benidorm, it focuses on helping the homeless community with food, clothing, counselling, friendship and shelter. Our main focus is in Benidorm and surrounding areas.
What City Streets does
Reduce poverty and hunger
We want to make the world a better place to live in, one step at a time. We support the people in Benidorm and surrounding areas that need this help the most. Therefor we focus on helping homeless people or people facing homelessness. In these days everyone deserves regular food and shelter and a little push into the right direction again.
Provide necessary basic needs
We deliver food, clothes and shelter to the people who are lacking these primary needs. Fully relying on volunteers and businesses that support our cause. Help us reduce poverty and hunger.
Help them get back on track again
We give the necessary push into the right direction by providing counseling, support in finding housing and employment. We advocate for local businesses to employ homeless people.
Awareness and prevention
We promote awareness in the community regarding poverty in general and homelessness in specific. We support people facing homelessness to never end up on the streets. We promote kindness for all.

Delivery
- To build the City Streets Community we approach local restaurants to cook simple but nutrious meals or have volunteers to cook for the homeless.
- While delivering the food we inventorize the needs concerning clothing and shelter (sleeping bags and tents).
- We have a team of volunteers delivering food and other necesities on a daily basis.
Development
We want to make a change to the lifes of people in need. For every person we intend to create a personal development plan with focus on three selected areas:
- Housing: we try to establish affordable housing options
- Health: if there are any health issues we try to get the proper care
- Employment: guiding them into a job that suits the person involved
Drop-in Center
In the near future we want to establish a Drop-in Center where homeless people can come to have a shower, do their laundry, feel at ease or reach out for some specific help.
When we establish this we will publish this on this website. At the moment were are still searching for a suitable centralized location in the centre of Benidorm.
Donations
We organize fundraising activities to cover our costs. We are 100% depending on financial donations and donations of clothing, sleeping bags or tents.
We are always looking for business sponsorships to share a part of our costs.
At the moment we only work with volunteers but we have to find funding for coverage of the costs for packaging and distributing the food.

Bar/restaurants
Do you own a bar or restaurant?
Providing meals
We want to have a community of 30 local bar/restaurants that are willing to cook 30 simple nutritious meals once a month. We will pick them up at your bar/restaurant and distribute them, we can even provide you the packaging materials.
Donation point
We introduced a concept were clients can leave a small donation with a 'sticky note' of kindness. You prepare the meal for the money donated and we deliver it with the sticky note to the people on the streets.
